About The Huntress

I research the lives behind the records.

The names and dates matter but the real story is found in the places people lived, the relatiobships they formed, the choices they made and the way they moved through life.

More than names and dates

Family history is about understanding the people, places and moments that shaped the lives of those who came before us.

My work combines genealogical research and historical and social context to reconstruct those lives as fully as the surviving records allow.

Whether I am untangling a long-standing family mystery, interpreting DNA results or bringing an ancestor's story into focus, the purpose is the same:

to restore humanity to the record.

The genealogist behind The Huntress

My own interest in family history began with a handful of names, family stories and a desire to understand where I came from. More than twenty-five years later, that curiosity has developed into professional genealogical research across Australia and internationally.

i have worked with records from Australia, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Brazil, The United States and Denmark, among others, and I work in English, Greek and Portuguese.

History made personal

The greatest value of family history lies beyond identifying an ancestor. It lies in understanding who they were, how they lived, what shaped them and the communities they were part of.

Because when we understand the lives behind the records, genealogy becomes something more.
